KEEPING IN TOUCH---By Elmo

Hello! We've been very busy around Tabby Abbey as of late. Mom has been job hunting and busy with sending out resumes and answering ads, doing the chores and taking care of all of us. My leg is getting better and I'm able to hobble around much better now than I was doing. We've had some really cold weather and that's been another reason (besides my leg) why mom hasn't taken me to 'see the ladies' (the groomer) and I look like a werewolf (for small home owners!).

Mom has also been doing some sketching lately. I think it helps her relax! And she did this one of me. I guess it's okay, but really, I AM cuter than this in person.

Before that nasty cold spell, mom and I had gone walkies a few times. A couple of times she even had to carry me back to the car. Even so, it was great to get out in the fresh air!

Right now we are having spring-like weather, but I understand that's about to change. I think we may be going walkies before it does (I hope! I hope!).

Speaking of work for mom, she's also looking into several WAH jobs (work-at-home) and I think she's on information overload at the moment. We may shortly have a real business right here at the Abbey with mom locking herself in the computer room all day! I'm sure I'll have to assist her with various duties. I already announce when the mailman arrives so that mom and check right away and see what we've gotten. I know that's a big help to her!

Well, we are getting ready for St. Patrick's Day and I have to help mom with everything so we can put up our decorations in a timely fashion. Hopefully mom will get some photos back that we can show you. She still has film in the camera of the Valentine's Day decorations so maybe we'll be able to show you both! I really hate to press her on these issues because she is so busy, but we really need to keep up!

I'm going to help mom bake some cookies later today. Hope you all have a good weekend coming up!

STAYING WARM! ---By Momcat

Yikes it's cold! Didn't stray from the Abbey today, I can tell you. Only went out to put some birdseed and bread out and that was it! We've been staying inside, keeping warm and Elmo has gone out and come in the fastest I've ever seen him.

So, what to do, what to do on such a nasty cold day. Well, today I did something I haven't done in quite awhile...I did some sketching for a change. Earlier in the day I did some writing on a couple of things and then, just for the heck of it I decided to do a sketch. Well, after I finished that one, I decided to do another and after that, one more. The third one is the one you see here of my sweet Chloe. It's just a pencil sketch, but I'm very pleased with the way it turned out.

Tomorrow I'm thinking I may bake some more cookies so I can take pictures for the (hardcopy) of the newsletter that has the cookie recipe in it for February. Of course, Elmo will have to help me with that project! He is such a big help. Poor baby is still hobbling around with his left injured knee. Sometimes after he's been out, I wrap him up in a blanket and hold him for awhile until he warms up.

Not sure what I'm making for dinner tonight, but all in all today was a fun day, despite the fact I didn't go anywhere.

I'm still sending out resumes, yesterday one locally for a customer service position. This company is only a few miles away and that would be a real good thing to work THAT close to home. I still haven't heard anything on that one interview I went on over two weeks ago..... so I'm not holding my breath for that job.

Okay, the sketch uploaded! Hooray! That's my little Chloe! Well, now it's on to dinner! And, speaking of bunnies, they need their dinner too!
