TIMMY UPDATE --by Momcat
As some of you know, my special needs cat, Timmy, went to the animal hospital as an emergeny a week ago Monday. Timmy has always been a loner and would not let me hold him or get near him. We discovered last week, that from his hiding place behind the futon on the cat porch sitting on a heating pad, Timmy had gotten thermal burns on his belly.
He was back to see Dr Ray this Monday and he is doing better. Another problem Timmy has is cataracts and he probably sees very poorly. Probably why he is so frightened of everything.
Timmy is staying in the spare room, crated in one of the former bunny crates and I have to put vaseline on his belly/chest several times a day. Poor Timmy still isn't very friendly towards me, but he does seem to like the vaseline and lets me apply it.
Will keep you posted.....

IS IT SPRING YET? By Elmo
January weather was really nasty here in the midwest! As you can see from my photo here, I tried to stay bundled up! Mom made sure of that!
We had really nice weather yesterday, unfortunately mom had to work so we didn't get to go walkies. And today, of course, it's rainy and dreary. Bah!
Monday we discovered that Timmy needed to go to the doctor and mom had to take him during the evening. He's home and mom is keeping him in Chloe's crate in the spare bedroom. The doctor isn't sure what's wrong with him, but mom discovered he has no hair on his tummy and it looks like he has burns! We'll keep you posted on this.
Bye for now!

COLOR SKETCHES! by Elmo
Hi there! Elmo here with some news! Mom is now doing the pet sketches in color and she's done a very nice one of me which you can see here. She used the nice photo she took of me in my outfit to work from.
The color sketches are priced at $50 (includes packaging & postage). Mom has already done several of these on order. She also wants to do some more of us here at Tabby Abbey.
One of the sketches she did was for friends who used it on their Christmas cards in December! That was quite nice for mom to have her artwork sent out to lots of people.
Currently she is working on a pencil sketch for a neighbor and a color sketch for a friend from the doggy park.
Also, mom is enjoying working a couple days a week at the pet store and seeing the dogs that come in to shop with their people.
Bye for now. ELMO
